Materials

The basic types of the oxide ceramics we use are chosen based on the area of the usage and on the task where they should be adequate. At this stage it is already decided, whether the particular product based on which specific ceramic properties will be determined. Hardness, strength and wear resistance will matter the first, or heat resistance, electrical insulating properties, or maybe the heat shock resistance is emphasized.

Summarising in one block, there are two main types, low and high fiery and three main materials are distinguished.

The low fiery EK-73 is the top ceramic of the price value ratio.

This porous, off-white material is high quality but inexpensive due to the single firing and simpler manufacturing process, moreover it is an excellent electrical insulator. Its heat resistance is 1000 ° C, which is lower though, but due to the very small, only 2% shrinkage it is suitable for the development of complex shapes. First of all, lighting fixtures are made of it, especially they are built into germicide, quartz, photo and UV lights

  • Excellent price-value ratio
  • 1 time firing
  • 2% shrinkage
  • High formability
  • High quality
  • Good isolator
  • 1000 C° heat resistance
  • Glaze able in 35 colors
  • Wearable Ra ≤ 0,60
  • printable

Products made of EK-73

  • Uv, Germicidal, quartz, photo lamp components
  • isolation components
  • Lamp bases and sockets From size T2 to T10

The high fiery FK–7 is the JOLLY JOKER.

Twice-firing and more complex production process generates a higher price range, but in exchange it is a very good electrical insulator with high, 1500 ° C heat resistance. This fact and the excellent mechanical properties lead that the final products made from it are used more widely. The material is thicker and harder, but well-malleable; up to 0.5 mm wall thickness product is obtainable from it. Like lamp heads, machine parts, special insulation materials, electrical equipment components.

  • Very good mechanical resistance
  • 2 times firing
  • More hard and solid material
  • Very good electrical isolation
  • Outstanding formability
  • 0,5 mm wall thickness
  • 1500 C° Heat resistance
  • Glaze able in 35 colors
  • Wearable Ra ≤ 0,60 µm
  • printable

Products made of FK-7

  • Lamp bases and sockets From size T2 to T10
  • Electrical isolation components
  • Heat isolation mounting of industrial furnaces
  • Electrical fastener parts

The high fiery K-5 is the Premium category top ceramic.

Due to the three times firing and more complex manufacturing process it is the premium category of the ceramic industry which is also reflected in its properties. Excellent heat resistance is combined with extraordinary strength. Life expectancy of the components made of this ceramic material is multiple of the metal components.
Due to its wear resistance and hardness it is used for sand blasting, welding equipment as dies for hollow bricks, for thread guides, for fibres of reeling, spinning looms as well as to draw glass fibres and carbon fibres because it withstands the high speed running of the wire fibre. Due to its heat and heat shock resistance this pink ceramic is also used as inert-gas welding equipment parts.

  • 10 times harder than steel
  • 3 times firing
  • Time consuming production
  • 1500 C° Heat resistance
  • Wear-resistant
  • Polish able Ra ≤ 0,20 µm
  • Glaze able

Products made of K-5

  • Thread guides
  • Dies for hollow brick
  • Welding nozzles
  • Heat isolation mounting of industrial furnaces
